How to play

Move with a plan.
Leave yourself an exit.

  1. Face the shot.

    Your hunter faces the way you move. Tap FIRE once your targets are lined up; one shot can hit several zombies.

  2. Watch the magazine.

    You carry five loaded shots. A cartridge gives you a fresh load, but an early reload throws away any shots left in the gun.

  3. Choose your exit.

    An open corridor always takes you forward. Clear every zombie before leaving for bonus points and one extra life, up to three.

What is Watch Your Back - Zombies?

Watch Your Back is a top-down zombie shooter built for iPhone and iPad. Each hunt takes you through forest clearings with a five-shot shotgun, manual reloads, and a choice between escaping early or clearing every zombie.

How do you aim in Watch Your Back?

Move the hunter in the direction you want to shoot, then tap FIRE. A shot can hit several zombies inside its firing cone, so positioning affects how much you get from each loaded shot.

How does reloading work in Watch Your Back?

Collect a cartridge from the clearing, then tap RELOAD to replace your magazine with five shots. Reloading spends one whole cartridge and discards any shots you still had loaded.

Can you leave a level without killing every zombie?

Yes. Crossing an open corridor advances you to the next level even when zombies remain. An early exit gives up the bonus points and extra life earned by clearing the arena first.

How do you earn extra lives?

Kill every zombie in the clearing, then leave through an open corridor. A perfect exit adds one life up to a maximum of three, and awards a score bonus based on the next level.

How is your score calculated?

Each zombie kill is worth ten points. A perfect exit adds 100 times the next level number, so clearing level two before leaving adds a 300-point bonus.

Will Watch Your Back be free to play?

The planned release includes three hunt starts, followed by an optional one-time Lifetime purchase for unlimited hunts. A hunt start is used even if you quit that run; the game has no ads or subscriptions.
