At a glance
- Plan the full clear
Compare loaded shots, spare cartridges, and target health before deciding to finish every zombie.
- Confirm zero remaining
Finish the targets and check that the zombies-remaining counter has reached zero before approaching an exit.
- Leave through an open corridor
Cross a usable opening and read the transition card for the next-level bonus and any life gained.
Separate the clear from the exit
The arena is clear when no zombies remain alive. Until then, an open corridor still works, but crossing it counts as an early exit and gives no clear reward. Check the zombies-remaining counter before leaving if the bonus is your goal. One surviving zombie is enough to make the difference.
Once the arena is clear, move through one of the usable corridors. The entry is closed, so choose another opening. There is no need to wait for a special door or a reward pickup to appear. The transition card reports the next level and bonus, along with the extra life when one is earned.
Calculate the bonus using the next level
The formula is 100 multiplied by the level you are entering. Clearing level one and leaving for level two therefore awards 200 bonus points. Clearing level four and leaving for level five awards 500. The number on the next-level transition is the relevant number, which prevents an easy off-by-one mistake when estimating the reward.
Kills add their own points separately. Every zombie is worth 10 points regardless of tier. Level four contains four zombies, so a full clear earns 40 kill points. Its perfect exit adds another 500, making 540 points from those kills and that exit together. There is no extra combo multiplier for the order in which the zombies fall.

Build the first extra life carefully
The first arena is a useful worked example because a new hunt begins with one life, five shots, and one zombie. There is no floor cartridge on that level. The eligible tier needs one valid hit, so face it, get it into range, and avoid spending the magazine on shots directed elsewhere.
One kill earns 10 points. Crossing an open corridor after that kill adds 200 more and increases your lives from one to two. Your total is 210 points. That first extra life changes what a later capture means: with a life remaining, the current level continues after the surviving zombies return to their homes.
Budget the clear before committing to it
As levels increase, tougher tiers join the mix. Tiers one and two take one valid hit, tiers three and four take two, and tier five takes three. All tiers move at the same speed. A tougher-looking group demands more hits, but you do not need to assume a separate speed increase or a special attack to plan around it.
A shot can hit every living zombie inside the 45-degree cone and within range. If three tier-three zombies stay in the cone for two shots, those two shots can clear all three. If you meet them separately, each needs its own pair of hits. Look for shared shots while keeping enough room to turn away from contact.
Understand the three-life cap
A perfect exit adds one life only when you have fewer than three. At one life it takes you to two; at two it takes you to three. At three lives you still receive the clear-bonus points, but there is no fourth life to store. The same exit condition applies at every life count.
That cap helps you judge the last risky target. With two lives, a clear can restore the third as well as award points. With three, the life part cannot increase your total. In either case, if finishing the arena looks likely to end the hunt, an early exit remains available. A perfect exit is a reward to weigh against the current risk.
More questions
Do I earn the clear bonus as soon as the final zombie dies?
The final kill clears the arena, but you must then leave through an open corridor to complete the perfect exit. The exit awards the next-level bonus and any extra life allowed by the three-life cap.
Is a perfect exit worth fewer points when I already have three lives?
No. The points still equal 100 times the next level number. The cap affects only the extra life: you stay at three instead of gaining a fourth.
